Can someone explain to me how an organization has the authority to issue a license to clone? I’m curious who gave the the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority the authority to issue licenses for such activity.
If I want to get a driver’s license, I go to an agency founded by and operated by the state. What organization gave the okay to the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority to issue a license to the Dolly the Sheep cloners? Is this the same department in the British government that issued James Bond his license to kill?
I know we’re not supposed to drag theology and religion into these scientific issues, but I believe these cloning guys need to be very careful. They might be getting a cease-and-desist letter from the Almighty’s legal department.
